How do I rent a dress?
Browse through her current selection of dresses under the ‘Hire A Dress’ tab on the Home Page. Select the dress you love most, and use the calendar to view it’s availability.
What happens if the dress I hired is the wrong size?
She understands the importance of the right fit. If the garment you have ordered is not quite right please contact her the same day you received it by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. She can then send you out another size/style at a cost of $30 or she will make note of the return, and provide you with a credit for your next rental (less $30 postage).
The garment must not be worn prior to returning, and should be packaged carefully.
Absolutely! Simply email email@example.com to book an appointment at our Melbourne showroom. Fittings are available by appointment Monday – Saturday.
If you are interstate why not use our $30 Try On Service where she will post a dress to you for 24 hours. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire.
How long can I borrow a garment for?
Dresses are borrowed for a 4-day or 8-day rental period. Your 1st day of rental is considered to be the date you choose for your dress to be delivered to you.
How do I know the dress is clean when I receive it?
All dresses are dry-cleaned by our premium dry cleaner as soon as they are returned. The Her Wardrobe team also carry out inspections before a garment is sent out, to ensure you always receive it in great condition.
What is included in my delivery?
You will receive your garment as well as a set of return instructions, care tips and a pre-paid return envelope all packaged beautifully in a Her Wardrobe box.
How do I return a garment?
Simply place it into the pre-paid return satchel and drop it at your nearest Australia Post Office or Express Post Mail Box by 5pm on your 4th or 8th day of hire (your exact return date will be listed on the card included in your delivery).
There is no need to clean or iron the dress; she will take care of all of that for you!
If your return date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, we simply ask you post it back the next day.
What if I misplace/lose my return shipping satchel?
She includes a pre-paid return satchel, ready to pop into your nearest Australian Post Office or Express Post Mail Box with each rental. If you misplace the envelope, it is your responsibility to send the order back to her via Express Post by the due date at your own expense. If you need assistance, please contact her at email@example.com.
What if I return my order late?
Her Wardrobe relies heavily on timely returns. By returning a garment late you are potentially ruining another customer’s night - and no one wants that! Please contact her via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are unable to return the garment by the scheduled day of return. She will assist you in getting the dress back to us on time. However, if unsuccessful you will be charged for the full 4-day rental period again.
I would like to take my dress interstate, is that okay?
Of course! As long as it is placed in an Australia Post Express Post Box by no later than 5pm on the 4th day of hire. This can be in the state your received it or any other major Australian city.
How many items can I ‘borrow’ at once?
You can rent up to 2 dresses at anytime, during the same 4-day period.
Can I book a dress in advance for a special occasion?
Yes of course! Simply click on the dress you would like to borrow, and then select the date you would like your dress to be delivered to you. She takes bookings up to 3 months in advance.
When is my Credit Card charged for the dress rental?
Full payment is taken at the time of booking.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Her Wardrobe accepts payments via VISA, MasterCard & VISA Debit and PayPal.
What if I change my mind and wish to cancel an order?
She understands that plans change just email her at email@example.com. She will be happy to cancel your order if it is at least 2 weeks prior to the date your rental period is due to begin. The refund process can take approximately 2-3 days dependent on the individual processing time on your credit card.
If you would like to cancel your order less than 2 weeks from the start date she will send you a credit for your rental fee, which can be used on another rental within 6 months.
Who pays for shipping and handling?
Express postage to all major cities in Australia is free!
Can I track my package?
In most cases she will send you a tracking link for your parcel as soon as it is on its way. On the rare occasion she may need to use a courier that does not have live tracking and in this case you won’t be sent a tracking number.
What if I need the dress tomorrow?
Next-Day delivery is available throughout Victoria and to all major cities in Australia provided you place your order before 2pm AEST. For more urgent bookings simply email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0431 854 020.
What happens if the renter before me returns the dress late/damaged?
She will do everything in her power to get the dress you ordered to you on time. However, in the very rare case that the customer before you had had a mishap with the dress, we will upgrade your order and ship you a more expensive style for the date you need. She never wants to leave you without something amazing to wear!
If you do not receive the dress by 5pm on the day you expected please call her on 0431 854 020.
We will trace the parcel with our courier and update you with information as soon as possible.
What happens if I am not home when the courier arrives with my garment?
If you are not home, the courier may deliver your parcel to your nearest post office where you will be able to pick it up. Please note your 4-day rental period begins from the day your parcel was first attempted to be delivered to you.

Her Wardrobe stocks a range of dresses in sizes 6-16.

Will I need to iron the dress before wearing it?
We do our best to ensure all garments arrive wrinkle free! However, should yours arrive with slight creases please refer to the Care Instructions & Tips included in your delivery for advice on how to have it looking perfect.
Please do not iron the dress, as it is likely the delicate fabric will be damaged. Instead hang it safely in your bathroom whilst you have a shower, the steam will get rid of any wrinkles.
The first thing to do is not to worry! Please simply contact Her Wardrobe by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. We have a team of professional dry cleaners and experienced seamstresses who are more than likely able to fix the issue at hand. If the dress is not repairable, unfortunately, you will be charged the replacement value of the dress; as per the amount advertised under the ‘Details’ tab of each dress. This amount will be invoiced to you once we have informed you that the dress is irreparable.
In most cases, the dress will be repairable, and only the cost of repair will be passed onto you.
Do I need to clean the dress before I return it?
Please do not attempt to clean the garment before returning it. We use a professional dry cleaning service to ensure garments are not damaged.
What happens if I love the dress I have borrowed and want to keep it?
Unfortunately, Her Wardrobe does not allow customers to keep garments they have borrowed. If you desperately wish to become the owner of the garment please let her know by emailing email@example.com
