On the 11th of January 2020, the Portsea Polo will celebrate twenty years of hosting one of the most anticipated Summer events. So, if you have been considering buying a dress for the event here are her favourite styles best suited to the daytime occasion.
Every year, she dresses lots of guests heading off to the Polo, many of whom are usually a bit unsure as to what they should be wearing. In this blog post we aim to decode the dress code - right down to the perfect pair of wedges for the day.
The Polo is synonymous with flowing dresses, sun hats and espadrilles. Try to picture what you would wear to a beach or garden wedding and that’s very similar to what you can wear to the polo. There are a couple of things you should steer clear of; black and dark colours are best avoided and you definitely want to leave your stilettos at home. Wedges or sandals are a must. While, the go-to outfit for men is a pair of chinos with a linen shirt and boat shoes.
Here are her best suited options for the Polo Season:
These floral options would all be perfectly suited to a day at the polo.
From L to R: Talulah 'Sweet Something Midi', Talulah 'Jasmine Vines Mini Dress', Talulah 'Merengue Midi Dress'. All three dresses are bright and comfortable. They can be easily styled with the Billini 'Perla Wedge' in White Linen and a touch of gold jewellery.
Two other great dress hire midis are the Talulah 'Mediterrenean Minx' and 'Blossom Midi Dress' - both make a bold impact whilst still being a relaxed, floaty style. Pair with the 'Carina Wedge' and 'Kylie Camera Bag'.
To purchase a dress for the Polo simply shop online or head into her St Kilda store.
